Making My Monday #2

Happy Monday!

Yup, here goes to another workweek! It’s always super tough to get back into the groove of things after a fun weekend, right? Yeah, totally.

So, here’s the 2nd edition of Making My Mondays, dedicated to a few things I’m thankful for and happy about this morning as I’m getting ready to go back to work!

1. New Asics! Time to retire the old kicks and hop into a new pair!

My chiropractor says I should be getting a new pair every 3 months…which has it’s good and bad sides! Good: New Shoes! Woo! Bad: $$

2.Alba Botanica Very Emollient Body Lotion, Maximum Dry Skin Formula

I have SUPER dry skin, and my hands have been wrinkly, tight, and cracked year round my whole life. I have tried SO MANY different types of lotions and creams and oils….with no relief. I’m allergic to the majority of types of lotions sold at regular shopping and grocery stores, and trying them out has ended up just aggravating the problem. A couple months ago, I decided to try out this Alba lotion, and am LOVING it! My hands have not cracked or bled at all since I have started using it, and believe me, no other lotion has had that track record with my desert-dry skin! I highly recommend this lotion if you struggle with dry skin!

3. Picazzos.

Being allergic to both gluten and pesticides definitely has it’s struggles when Nate and I want to have a date night! This place has been a God-send, being an Italian restaurant that uses only organic produce and gluten-free pizza crusts and pasta! It also has recently updated it’s menu even more, providing tons of vegan options for those allergic to dairy as well. And don’t think that all these adaptions have lowered the yumminess factor at all. I think that Picazzos pizza is seriously one of the very best pizzas I have ever tasted in my life, and my gluten-eating husband agrees, and says that he can’t even tell a difference at all between the flavors of their gluten free foods and the traditional wheat flour foods. It’s that good! If you’re in Arizona, and have got family members with allergies (or even if you don’t!), I highly recommend this place! It’s so delicious!!

4. This Handmade Mason Jar Tumbler

Tumbler

A boy I used to babysit is all grown up now, and makes these tumblers! I am so proud of him, and am absolutely in love with my tumbler; I use it every day for iced coffee!

5. This test…haha, I saw this on Pinterest this weekend! Yup….School is back in action!
