Grapefruit Essential Oil adds citrusy flavor to this honey-sweetened Iced Tea; the perfect refreshing drink to sip on all summer long!
Yay!! It’s Essential Oil time again on Sunny Side Ups!
I get the privilege of working alongside my lovely sister in law, Arianna, to bring you a post that’s both informative and delicious!
Today we’re all about Grapefruit Essential Oil! I’ve got a tasty summer Iced Tea recipe for ya down at the bottom of the post, but now I’m going to let Arianna teach us about ways this fabulous oil can help benefit our health!
Hi! It’s Arianna back with you again today!
If you love the tangy taste of Grapefruit, you’ll love Young Living’s Grapefruit Essential Oil too! Grapefruit (Citrus paradisi) essential oil includes the naturally occurring constituent d-limonene. D-limonene is a chemical found in the peels of citrus fruits and in other plants. Grapefruit is nourishing to the skin, and like many cold-pressed citrus oils, it is a popular oil to use in addition with weight management programs.
Grapefruit Essential Oil is also mentally uplifting and can ease stress and minor nervousness.
I love adding Grapefruit EO to my food and drinks for an uplifting taste and smell! (Ps-if you’re interested in learning more about how to get started using Young Living’s Essential Oils, click here!)
I’m mind-boggled when I think of all the health possibilities tucked inside this one tiny bottle of Grapefruit Essential Oil! Not only can it be helpful to our bodies, but it also adds this amazing sweet grapefruit flavor to our foods and drinks! It’s the unofficial start of summer, and today’s iced tea recipe is made especially with summer in mind! It’s lightly sweetened with honey and infused with Grapefruit Essential Oil that will make you never want to drink plain ole iced tea the regular way again!! It’s the perfect tea to sip while relaxing by the pool, or to serve for family BBQ’s and picnics with friends!
I made this iced tea with honey instead of white sugar, and only put a half-cup of it in the entire gallon-sized recipe. I love when that lovely tea taste shines through brightly, and so many sweet tea recipes out there carry as much white sugar as soda, smothering out all of the tea’s natural flavors and health benefits. This tea is only slightly sweet, but you can always add more or less honey as you make this recipe, depending on how sweet you prefer your iced tea. A few drops of Grapefruit Essential Oil flavors the tea lightly with a refreshing citrusy taste that will keep you coming back to make this simple recipe all summer long!
