My name is Anna, and I’m the 26-year-old writer behind the SunnySideUps blog. I am married to my very best friend, Nate, who also helps me out A LOT with the technical stuff for the blog (because I’m a little (or maybe a lot) behind when it comes to computers!) He’s awesome!! We’ve been married for four years, and we love living in Arizona!
I come from a really big family!
I graduated in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Health from Southwestern College in Phoenix. After that, I decided not to pursue a graduate degree and a career in that field, and instead returned back to school for classes in Exercise Science, and Fitness and Wellness. Now, I’m a Group Fitness Instructor, certified by the American Council on Exercise . Teaching fitness classes is the most fun job in the world! Believe it or not, I used to HATE exercising! Group Fitness classes were originally what made me start liking to exercise, so it is extremely rewarding to now be able to help other people learn to make their own exercises fun as well! As much as I love being active at the gym, my favorite way to exercise is running outside.
I also love baking and cooking. I don’t like leftovers (I’m crazy-I know!), so I’m constantly trying out new recipes and experimenting in the kitchen. It’s just my husband and I living in our home right now, so many of the recipes you will find here on Sunny Side Ups will make enough for two servings. Baking is so fun for me, and there’s something so therapeutic about the baking process. I love the smell of delicious goodies baking in the oven, and my absolute favorite food of all time is CHOCOLATE!
Jesus Christ is my Savior and my closest friend. He has changed my life, and He gives me hope for the future and the strength to get through every day (even when life is overwhelming). Even more important than exercising or eating or any other cool thing, I want to remember all God has done for us, and choose each day to make Him the priority in my life.
Other things that make me excited are music (especially country), date nights with my hubby, shopping at outdoor malls, and did I say chocolate already? Umm..I guess it’s a little bit of an obsession!
